Panel 1: That’s a rather notably larger shower stall than we see later on in the series, I must  admit. On the other hand: ARTISTIC LICENSE! (For Readers of A Certain Age, “ARTISTIC LICENSE” should be intoned in the same gravelly, dramatic fashion as the South African bad guy grated “DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY!” at the end of Lethal Weapon 2.)

Bit of the ol’ Mysteriously Intermittent Post-Millennial Torso Glitch to Emp’s undulating form in panel 1, but what the heck. Hey, fellow artists, let’s see you knock out a “first-draft, only-draft” drawing like this without having ruled out any figure proportions first! (Note: For a key shot like this one, best to actually take the time to rule out those figure proportions first, as opposed to sailing headlong into jeopardy as I did here.)

If anything, I’m rendered frowny-faced more by Emp’s exaggeratedly long hair, a stylistic flourish I’m no longer quite as fond of as I was a decade ago. I am, however, intrigued by the genuinely unique image of Emp having sex with most of her supersuit dangling free, save for the (not entirely explicable) rolled-up “headband” part. Given that I usually depict her Empowered sex scenes featuring either A) wholly butt-nekkid Emp or B) fully supersuited Emp, this “in-between” option of her shown in mid-coitus with mostly removed hypermembrane flapping freely is an interesting variation.
