Even as Imperial Pimpotron Alpha departs from at least the next few thousand pages of Empowered, he leaves behind an aspect of the Cosmolactic Empire that will weigh very large indeed through the rest of the series: namely, the power-draining bondage gear, which will soon tie in—bondage pun unintended!—to a key character in the franchise.
