Panel 1: Arguably, these shuriken should be depicted as spinning as they’re being flung, but I find such visual indications a bit clumsy. In theory, we might be seeing a “freeze frame,” as if the action’s being shot with a high-speed camera. (Alas, that doesn’t explain the blurring of the ninja’s hand at left, or the motion lines by the shuriken in her other hand.)

Panel 2: I like the idea of this shot—of Ninjette clinging to the back of the park bench—rather more than the execution, which turned out slightly awkward to my present-day eye, due in part that I used easily distorted one-point perspective for the panel. Oh, well. Drawing comics can be tough, folks.
