Panel 1: Here, another hint that the series is taking place on the West Coast, though not necessarily in California. Willy Pete’s atrocity presumably took place in the ol’ Golden State, sure, though perhaps the California Crusaders’ jurisdiction extends outside the state. 

Panel 5: Yikes! Anglerfish’s first word balloon features an oft-remarked-on line of dialogue that, needless to say, many found disturbing for obvious reasons.
