Panel 1: Ah, yet another example of the webcomic format's limitation, as the previous page's brief flashback (from vol. 5) of Emp carrying Mindf**k instantly disappeared with this very next panel.  The idea, obviously, was to show that Emp is far from having recovered from the dramatic events of only an hour ago or so.

Panel 3: This is one thing I've enjoyed exploring in this series—the idea that superheroes could have strong emotional responses to the mind-bending mayhem they are constantly experiencing, rather than rushing obliviously onward with no apparent aftereffects in order to keep the story rolling.

Panel 7: Believe me, what Emp is seeing is definitely worth a blurted >URKK< or two, as you'll see tomorrow.
