The Soldier of Love p.81

We continue serialization of the collected version of the three-issue 2017 miniseries Empowered and the Soldier of Love, written and laid out by me and featuring full-color artwork by the Chilean webcomic artist Karla Diaz.

Panel 2: Gotta love Senor Pangolin's popping eye as the rest of him bursts into a spray of hearts.

Panel 3: As I've noted before, "HOOG" is a grunted noise derived from a key moment in Stephen King's Misery, uttered by ol' Annie Wilkes as she's walloped by a typewriter. (Not the sort of "dialogue" one often sees in prose, to put it mildly.)

Next week on the webcomic, we barrel ahead through the conclusion of this miniseries, dear readers!

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test projects The Last Party and The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
