We continue serialization of the collected version of the three-issue 2017 miniseries Empowered and the Soldier of Love, written and laid out by me and featuring full-color artwork by the Chilean webcomic artist Karla Diaz.

Jeez, don't fly while texting, El Soldado! (IIRC, I made a joke about this very concept back in the prose experiment I Am Empowered.)

Panel 6: Broke with the "love songs only" formatting for El Soldado's BGMs to make this reference to a thematically relevant but wholly unromantic Kanye West song, perhaps best known for its Zach Galifianakis alternate music video. No doubt some romantic tune might've been relevant to this scene, but I couldn't dig up a fully appropriate example; feel free to suggest a relevant love song in the comments, if you like.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test projects The Last Party and The Chaste and the Chained.
