We continue serialization of the collected version of the three-issue 2017 miniseries Empowered and the Soldier of Love, written and laid out by me and featuring full-color artwork by the Chilean webcomic artist Karla Diaz.

Enjoy a rare glimpse of civilian-identity Emp & Ninjette, folks! I really love the way Karla handled 'em in this sequence; plus, that's a damn fine looking coffee shop! In truth, I wouldn't mind at all drawing our heroines in normal-life fashions, but I would very much mind drawing 'em inhabiting contemporary urban (or suburban!) environments such as this one.
