We continue serialization of the collected version of the three-issue 2017 miniseries Empowered and the Soldier of Love, written and laid out by me and featuring full-color artwork by the Chilean webcomic artist Karla Diaz.

Panel 2: Gotta say, I really like the whimsically stylized font that letterer Nate Piekos (of Blambot! fame) used for this miniseries' dialogue. Great stuff!

Also, I'm not sure that the arrow extending from panel 2 back into panel 1 fully conveys the idea that the former is a close-up insert shot derived from the latter; nowadays, I would've asked for an additional circle around the wee Emp figure to clarify matters further.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test projects The Last Party and The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
