We continue serialization of the collected version of the three-issue 2017 miniseries Empowered and the Soldier of Love, written and laid out by me and featuring full-color artwork by the Chilean webcomic artist Karla Diaz.

Panel 4: On a color scheme note, I admire how Kara used that subdued purple-gray for the hotel room background as a notable contrast with the happy, magical pink tones of the flashback scene.

Worry not, dear readers, as eventually you will get an idea of why El Soldado's current-day "Yay" is just a tad less enthusiastic than her decade-earlier "Yay."
