We continue serialization of the collected version of the three-issue 2017 miniseries Empowered and the Soldier of Love, written and laid out by me and featuring full-color artwork by the Chilean webcomic artist Karla Diaz.

Ehh, I definitely should've asked Karla to add more speedline overlays over panels 2-5, based on the white-line dealie seen in panel 1; I suspect, however, that the miniseries was starting to slide behind schedule by this point, and I didn't feel like pestering Karla for additional work on pages that were already finished. By the end of this issue and all throughout issue #3, my bud Ryan Kinnaird kindly agreed to jump on board and color a fair number of pages to allow Karla more worktime on the B&W line art.

Note that those open white sound FX from ace letterer Nate (Blambot) Piekos in panels 1 & 2 suggest that he was working from incomplete B&W pages, as otherwise he would use FX colors that would either integrate or "pop out" from the panels' finished colors.
