Re: Thugboy’s dialogue in panel 1: As someone once on the periphery of heavy metal fandom in the 80s, I still delight in the use of the term “poseur,” the most derisive and scathing of all epithets one could unleash on a member of the metal scene. Note the critical letter “u” in “poseur,” which grants the word an ineffable but critical edge of Gallic derision over the more pedestrian “poser.”
