Panel 2: Yes, webcomic readers, "minion bars" are apparently a thing in the Empverse, unsurprisingly enough.

Panel 3: Not sure what 2017-ish Me was thinking with Emp's presumably narrow-beamed VORPP lettering burned into the cryopod, as the text seems way too font-like to effectively be "hand lettering." Then again, perhaps this another one of Emp's heretofore unseen skills coming to the fore?

And thus ends the much-reviled Empowered vol. 10 chapter "Shove It, Chevalier," which delivered two full volumes' worth of "damsel in distress" imagery along with far too much mangled "Franglais" for most readers. Alas, I never did get around to addressing the nigh-traumatic all-nighter of Chevalier dialogue revisions I had to pull before 2017's Emerald City Comic-Con, the current iteration of which is wrapping up as I type this commentary.  Ol' ECCC has long been one of my favorite shows since I started attending it back in 2012; dunno if or when I'll ever get back there, alas, as my current situation is ill-suited to congoing or to travel in general. (Oh, well.)

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
