Panel 1: Whoops, slipped up a bit with Ninjette's grip on the katana, as her support hand should be all the way down at the end of the sword's handle (or tsuka). I rather meticulously photoreferenced most of this chapter's katana usage, for whatever its worth, which makes this image a tad difficult to explain.

Panel 2: That's "honto ni?" in Japanese, which translates as an emphasized form of "Really?"

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used.
