Aaaaaand we can bid adieu—or au revoir, at least—to this intriguing new form of portal, as it won't appear again in Empowered vols. 11 and 12, let alone in the one-shots collected in Empowered Unchained. I might well work it into later stories, though, as this new iteration seems to be a bit easier to draw than the Lotus Nodes. (I did this page at least six years ago if not seven, so I've no recollection of the experience of drawing the g-d thing.)

Panel 3: Wellp, enjoy(?) another appearance of the "Excessively Petite Feet" stylized visual riff on Emp, webcomic readers, as soon enough this oddly random artistic flourish will pretty much vanish from mon oeuvre after this volume once I kick off 2017's long stint of daily life drawing.
