Panel 1: I really like the way this panel turned out, gotta say, though I still find myself mildly aggravated by the fact that the background use of "blobby window lights" works so much better as a stylized, "out of focus" backdrop than the crisply outlined building lights I've rendered throughout all the decades of my g-d career. (That is, I'm aggravated by the fact that I didn't think of using this marginally time-saving visual riff years ago. All that g-d wasted worktime...)

Note also that I rolled with a tailless word balloon for Emp's second bit of dialogue in this panel, rather than using some awkward and ineptly conspicuous workaround such as looping an enormously long balloon tail over Mindf**k's head that would point back to Emp. I'd say it's pretty g-d clear that Emp is doing the talking; must admit that I wish that more comic creators and/or letterers felt comfortable using tailless balloons in these contexts, rather than trotting out ridiculous and incompetent-looking solutions like the one I just mentioned.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new, such as updates on fantasy test project The Chaste and the Chained. Golly!
