Panel 2: Oops! As 2006-Era Me constructed and drew Emp’s figure right-side-up for the final, upside-down drawing, this led to tragic wonkiness on the final figure. I—and by extension, Emp—would’ve been better served by drawing her upside-down, which very likely would’ve helped me perceive the aforementioned incipient wonkiness. This would be the vertical-axis equivalent of the oft-mentioned, horizontal-axis “check your drawing reversed or in the mirror” concept,  which helps you spot asymmetries or glitches in your art that might otherwise be imperceptible.
