Panel 2: This specific function of Emp’s supersuit is one I’ve long hoped to explore again in more detail, but have never quite gotten to addressing later on in the series. In fact, the vision options of the lenses in Emp’s mask are quite extensive, something I’ve only dealt with in much detail in an abortive Empowered prose project (which I’ll likely be releasing in some form later on in the year).

Panel 3: Note the convenience of those word balloons covering up Emp’s legs, which would’ve otherwise been challenging to draw due to dramatic foreshortening—though facing away from the camera, not toward it as with most foreshortening. Sometimes having to scribble the lettering directly on the original artwork is a real advantage, I gotta say.
