I do rather like the motif of the white, empty background of the page blending down into the white lights (against a black backdrop) of the last image at lower right. In fact, I should probably rip off this motif again for future Empowered pages! 

So what the heck is going on here, might you ask? (Besides a goofily high-tech approach to “damsel-in-distress” imagery, that is.) Well, furrow your brows no further, as the intent behind Emp’s odyssey of distress will soon be revealed within the next few pages. No, really!
