Panel 1: As I’ve mentioned before, here’s another example of the 2007-era cartoony and exaggerated flourish of “big head, small body” I occasionally indulged in just for the heck of it, rather than ruling out proper figure proportions. This tendency is long gone from my present-day work, for good or ill. Ah, but if you’ve perused the recently released Empowered vol. 10, you’ll notice that I’m far more likely to indulge in a “small head, bigger body” riff with Emp nowadays, to the point that I have to actively guard against blundering into “Robert Crumb girl” territory by accident.
