Panel 1: Ah ha! A decade after I lettered this page, just noticed that the giant graphic in the background is fatally flawed, as you’ll note that there’s no room for the word “CONFLICT” to fit in the space off-panel. Oops!

Panel 3: The slightly unusual word balloon with the CLAP sound FX is meant to indicate Emp’s less than fully enthusiastic applause. Incidentally, I should mention that drawing a pair of hands clapping is a surprisingly difficult challenge, one that Past Me was not quite able to pull off successfully in this shot.

Panel 6: And the shenanigans commence!
