Panel 1: Yeahp, as a lowly associate member of the Superhomeys, Emp’s security clearance allows her very little—or, quite possibly, no—access to the many secrets of the Empverse.

Panel 2: In case you’d forgotten, “supranym” is the Empowered universe’s term for a superheroic pseudonym—or nom de guerre, perhaps, if you care to wax pretentiously French.

Panel 5: For some reason, the image of the übernurse fending off the alien liver with a cattle prod and see-through shield cracks me up.

Panel 6: Oddly enough, of late I’ve grown to dislike this very particular cartoony squiggle of an Emp “speaking mouth.” I don’t seem to mind the so-called “squiggle frown” when her mouth is closed, but I don’t care for this version with the slightly opened mouth, which theoretically helps convey that she’s speaking.
