Panel 2: Gotta say, I do quite like the phrase “matters of the groin.” That said, I probably should’ve deleted the “carnal confluence” word balloon that follows, to cut back on the page’s arguable overload of text.
Panel 3: I’m not a big Kiss fan, either, despite the evidence of a certain piece of art I once drew for Wizard magazine. Not quite sure why I decided to refer to such an obscure song as “Heaven’s on Fire,” must admit. In terms of the choice of band, though, perhaps I felt that the Blazing-Eyed Devilgoat might well feel an affinity with a shamelessly bombastic self-promoter like Gene Simmons.
Also, I’m by no means sure that, even a decade ago, that a woman as young as Ninjette would understand the “Knights in Satan’s Service” reference. With the time that’s elapsed since, this seems even less likely.
