Panel 2: Hey, even Ocelotina has her limits in terms of fetish-y exploitation, and “breathplay” apparently crosses that line.
Panel 5: Yeahp, Ocelotina was occasionally drawn with the big head, narrow shoulders “popsicle” look, just like Emp periodically does during this era of Empowered. This is a cartoony flourish that no longer appeals to me, hence my frequent mentions of the riff in these commentaries. Well, folks, I gotta write something in these commentaries, okay? And my actual point in such critiques of older work isn’t just to give Past Me crap, but to show you that, over time, your preferences as a creator can and often do change. (That, and to fill up commentary space.)
Today’s Patreon update: Kicking off a new, ongoing feature on the ol' Patreon today, as I'm beginning serialization of the page roughs and scripts for the long-defunct, never-published miniseries Empowered and the Giant-Size Issues! This first post (of many) is open to the public, so feel free to go and take a look; be warned, howeva, that the concept of "tl; dr" may be looming in your future if you're not up for a lotta reading.
