Behold, my very favoritest background to draw: namely, silhouetted leaves and tree trunks in a forest (well, urban park) setting. Oh, if only every Empowered scene could take place in such an easy-to-draw environment. (Even the sex scenes, which I admit would give such sequences a bold new tone.)

Interestingly, we’re still not quite halfway through serialization of the series as a whole, given that the Guest Artist volume Empowered Unchained and the miniseries Empowered and the Soldier of Love (with Karla Diaz) and Empowered and Sistah Spooky’s High School Hell (with Carla Speed McNeil) will be posted here after the webcomic catches up to the last B&W volumes.
