Panel 2: The perspective drawing is seriously off in this panel, I’m afraid, but I clearly decided to push it into technical incorrectness so we could get a good view of Phallik and the nurses along with a clear shot of Emp seated in the background.

Panel 3: I’m fascinated by the cartoony “big head” figure proportions that I used for occasional Emp shots a decade ago, as I’ve drifted so far away from such an approach that I would only draw her this way nowadays as a deliberate, consciously chosen stylistic riff, rather than the “just for the heck of it” sporadic flourish it was back then.
