Panel 1: Thin-lipped Emp!  Panel 2: Pouty-lipped Emp!  Such are the vagaries of my ever-shifting approach to drawing Emp's lips, folks.

Panel 3: Yes, folks, this is the very same Deathmonger referred to in the very first Empowered comic page, then again later in vol. 1.  For the record, though, the character was only a throwaway, tossed-off name back then, with no thought about what this supervillain looked like or what his power set might be.

Panel 4: From this point forward, new readers might pay a little more attention to crispy critter Phallik's attempts at speech (he hinted vaguely).
