Panel 1: Yeahp, the yaoi artwork in the background is by my friend Jo Chen, who pitched in with similar imagery for an Empowered vol. 3 that featured boy-on-boy doujinshi pages.

Clearly, the character I’ve never fully identified and have instead nicknamed “Kirby Helmet Chick” has become a diehard devotee of the genre, after being introduced to yaoi material by Emp three volumes ago.

Panel 4: Added this element not long after hearing about the yaoi concepts of “non-con” (non-consensual) and “dub-con” (dubiously consensual). Let’s just say there’s some rather, ah, intense and eye-opening tendencies in the genre.
