Let the dreaded Overdialoguing Alert sound, folks, and sound loudly! Oh, well.
Panels 1-3: Looking back at this sequence, I still like Emp’s descriptions of her emotional responses, but I emphatically don’t like the visual storytelling approach that Decade-Ago Me took to convey said soliloquy. That is, just drawing a few Emp images then cramming her (admittedly excessive) verbiage in around them was a simplistic and, TBH, lazy way to tackle this scene; the art serves as little more than mere illustrations assisting a stream of dialogue, rather than taking a more integral role in the storytelling.
OTOH, such an art-integral approach would absolutely have burned up far more pagecount than just this single page, which is also a concern.
Today’s Patreon Update: As this is a Monday, time for our weekly double dose of life drawings new-ish (2018) and old (2017), along with the high-res Photoshop raw scans for both of ‘em, available to all Patreon tiers.
