Panel 1: Yeahp, Emp apparently didn’t tell ’Jette the whole story re: Empowered vol. 5’s finale. This might’ve been for the best, as we will see shortly.

Panel 2: A later bit in vol. 8 has Daisycutter—or is it Daisy Cutter?—and Plutonium Blonde mentioning that Emp really, really can’t sing very well. (And that considering that burnt-up Daisy’s speaking voice very likely is ragged as heck, judging by her word balloons’ jagged outlines.)
