By the end of the week, webcomic readers, you may rest assured that you will learn why Thugboy is saying “Ouch.” Explore the mystery, as the old CSI tagline had it (IIRC).
An odd leather-related continuity detail, here, as this sketch is based (however indirectly) on a fairly unusual leather jacket that I’ve been drawing from a few photoreference sets since 1996 or so. Said jacket—which has its own hashtag on my Patreon, BTW!—is actually made of quite lightweight material, which allows it to drape and fold in a manner far more complex and interesting than the necessarily heavy and rigid leather of a true motorcycle jacket.
Ah, but here’s the issue, you see: Thugboy should be wearing exactly such a heavy-duty leather jacket, and not the lightweight model I’m drawing here. Could this be time for… a Leather-Jacket Continuity Fail Alert? (Just kidding, folks, as I’m not going to sound another g-d Alert on Decade-Ago Me’s work at this time.)
Today’s Patreon Update: As this is a Monday, time for our weekly double dose of life drawings new-ish (2018) and old (2017), along with the high-res Photoshop raw scans for both of ‘em, available to all Patron tiers.
