Panels 2-4: This move is taken from an interesting book and DVD on kenjutsu (Japanese swordfighting), but I wasn't able to properly convey the true beauty of this dancelike (and, of course, deeply impractical) form. Kinda wish I'd burned more comic-page real estate to show that, as the katana swing was approaching her clockwise, Ninjette would've been using timely footwork to rotate counterclockwise inside the swing's arc.
UPDATE: I feel compelled to correct myself, as Ninjette would've been spinning clockwise, not counterclockwise, to intercept the Ayakami's swing. (Er, I think.)
UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: As corrected by a commenter, the movement is actually counterclockwise.
Panel 6: Look out, Ninjette!
Today’s Patreon update: As it’s a Wednesday, time for the $5+ Patron tiers to get their weekly dose of commissioned damsel-in-distress content, along the lines of the same material was eventually reworked into Empowered. This time around, we're wrapping up serialization of a B&W commissioned comic pitting a familiar, red-haired damsel against a frankly generic jungle girl.
