Aaaand it's time for yet another of Empowered vol. 7's many, many abrupt timeframe/scene changes, as we briefly cut away from Ninjette getting her butt kicked in the present for a quick, one-page flashback to a highly inebriated Kozue and Emp at Cape Karaoke Night. Tomorrow, back to the painful, present-tense aftermath!

Presumably this incident took place when Ninjette was well aware that the rest of the Ayakami clan were headed her way, after F**king Oyuki-chan alerted her at the end of vol. 6.
