Panel 1: Folks, enjoy the same three-panel progressive zoom-in on the Caged Demonwolf’s that I’ve reused throughout the series after its first appearance back in Empowered vol. 3! Honestly, drawing that initial g-d zoom-in was so laborious and time-consuming that I’d have to be insane not to reuse it. Anyhoo, I was careful to draw the base page without any word balloons on it, so I could paste in different dialogue choices each time the page was revisited.

And yes, in case you somehow couldn’t figure it out, this page is the World-Wrecking Wordsmith’s vocabularily florid version of Sir Mix-A-Lot’s immortal “Baby Got Back.”

Panel 3: Alas, sound the dreaded Overdialoguing Alert, as I definitely screwed up by going this far into the “Baby Got Back” lyrics. I should’ve translated only the lyrics heard—well, seen? Read?—in the first two panels in Demowolf-speak, but stretched ‘em out over the whole page.

This time around, we’re serializing a lengthy narrative of a familiar lass imperiled by a goofy, gluegunning varlet (among MANY such varlets, as we’ll see); in fact, I’ve long considering redrawing this one as an Empowered story, but will almost certainly never get around to doing so now.
