Cue the sudden scene change! As I’ve mentioned before, Empowered vol. 7 is rife with such abrupt narrative shifts, so brace yourselves for many more such abrupt time jumps, webcomics readers.

Panel 1: Towering vertical panel ahoy, folks! Why, it’s like we’re seeing a page from the manga Golden Kamui, which features endless examples of the “very tall panel” approach. (Even though Kamui wouldn’t be published for quite a few years yet.) 

Next week on this webcomic, we explore a rather tricky and dare I say potentially problematic thematic riff re: Emp’s attitude in the bedroom. (I based said riff on discussions with a few female friends of mine, not that this would be any defense against the possible sputtering of the ostentatiously offended.)
