UPDATE: Okay, so this page seems to lack the bad juju that blocked my last few days' worth of commentaries. Yay? Unfortunately, all my desperate attempts at cutting-and-pasting and reformatting and logging out and restarting and updating Windows 10 to deal with these bizarre glitches just burned up all the scarce worktime I had available for this week's commentaries, so text content will be sparse for the rest of this week.

Today’s Patreon update: As it’s a Wednesday, time for the $5+ Patron tiers to get their weekly dose of commissioned “damsel-in-distress” content, along the lines of the same material that was eventually reworked into Empowered. (No idea as to exactly what that content might be at this time, though; these commentaries are written much further out from posting than are my often last-minute Patreon updates.)
