As I'm presently struggling to gain momentum on Empowered vol.12's page production, I can tell you that I find it more than a tad frustrating to be serializing pages from vol. 8, cranked out during a time when I was wholly swept up in the narrative and was able to produce pages at a comparatively rapid pace. Checking my old work calendar from August 2013, I wrote and drew 44 g-d pages from this Hellish jaunt in 29 days, which is ridiculously fast by my current, maddeningly sluggish standards; I'll count myself lucky to finish over 15 pages during this August.

"Sigh," to quote Emp. (More on this matter in future commentaries, needless to say.)

UPDATE: In fact, in a misguided fit of sudden Empowered vol. 12 production optimism, over the weekend I tried to push through a seemingly minor drawing-hand issue while making good progress on a few pages, and instead wound up with a major drawing-hand issue. Now I probably won't be able to draw a g-d thing all week while I try to give my ailing hand some much-needed recuperation time.

"Sigh," indeed.
