This might seem a tad odd, but here's the commentary I wrote for yesterday's installment, which couldn't be pasted in and posted due to a randomly recurring glitch in the webcomic software:

The (visual) idea here was that that the worm-like "extermination biodrones" we'd seen emerging out of the Sea of the Damned were just, well, "subsets" of a larger organism, perhaps akin to how octopus arms are thought to have a mind of their own, more or less.

In any event, kudos to 2013 Me for making an effort to introduce sprawling scale to an Empowered scene, which is something I didn't then and still don't don't do all that often, mainly because that approach involves laboriously drawing a veritable s**tload of backgrounds. Writer Me often contemplates such imagery approvingly from a scripter's airily detached, 30,000-foot remove, but Artist Me always feels differently as the hapless schmo who has to actually carry out the hours and hours of gruntwork necessary to fulfill such grand, sweeping plans.

And now, back to today's regularly scheduled commentary:

Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
