Panel 4: Even as I was plowing through Empowered vol. 8's pages at a production rate ne'er seen before or since, I still occasionally found myself flummoxed by shots that I just could not draw to my satisfaction—and this close-up of Intact Mindf**k was one such drawing, which I finally gave up on after multiple frustrating drafts. This final version is perfectly adequate and "does the job," but still falls short of the original, sketchy rough, which boasted an ineffably charming quality I just could not convey in the finished pencils. (Roughs are often annoying in that way, alas.)

Panel 5: Belatedly occurs to me that Spooky would theoretically tower over Mnemonic Construct Mindf**k due to her high-heeled platform shoes, much as she should've been doing in relation to Emp. ("Whoopsie," to once again quote the Studio Guy from the Pitch Meeting videos.)

Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
