Panel 1: Ehh, probably should've shrunk down the "chigaau" hiragana for Ninjette's denial a bit. In fact, I likely hand-lettered the characters so largely to make the task easier, fully intending to shrink 'em down afterwards—but, alas, forgot to do so. Nowadays, I'd save myself some work time by just scanning the requisite Japanese out of an untranslated manga and pasting that into the page file, as over time I lost my taste for attempting to writie kana by hand.
Panels 4-9: A neat but unusual approach in using borderline-free gutters on these flashback shots. As I recall, I laid down thin strips of drafting tape to cover the gutter spaces while I drew each separate panel's art; a quicker alternative would be to just ink in the borders as usual, then delete 'em afterward in the Photoshop stage.
