Panel 1: This time around, the use of my beloved low horizon line in establishing shots, which normally hides a broad range of artistic sins, is not working terribly well; as seen at the lower right where the Lotus Node portal interacts with the perspective lines indicating the floor, things look oddly wonky. Not quite sure exactly why that's the case, as the perspective drawing involved is technically correct yet, to my eye, sure doesn't look correct. Moving the off-panel vanishing point to the right outward a fair bit, to "flatten out" the floor's perspective grid, might've helped. Odd!

And look, folks, you can see almost everyone's feet in this shot! Happy now, commenters?

Yes, normally whatever's annoying me in recent webcomic comments has ceased to rankle me by the time I get around to writing a week's worth of commentary every Sunday morning. Well, not this time, folks, as I've grown weary of a certain bit of lazy, hackneyed snark that recurs in the comments from time to time; so, prepare for further commentary featuring me complaining about certain commenters' complaining about the way I do—or, more to the point, supposedly do not—draw feet in this comic. Yay!

Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
