In case you were wondering about how the heck Deathmonger avoided being vaporized by a run-amuck fusion reaction (actually, victimized Superdead hero Tommy Tokamak) back in the climactic act of Empowered vol. 6, check out ol' DM's final appearance in panel 5 of this page. Note the "glitter FX" appearing around her in that last panel, indicating that some form of supra-wackiness was afoot, presumably of a teleportational variety.

Panel 1: "Trial by supervillain ordeal" as opposed to the not dissimilar "trial by fire" that you'll be seeing next year (I think?) in the future serialization of Empowered vol. 11's grueling, volume-long action action scene. (No SPOILERS, please, print comic readers!)

Panel 3: Gotta say, I only now noticed the prrrrobably unintentional humor of this glitter-FX-framed close-up of Deathmonger, which looks like something out of an app filter or photo booth.

Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used.
