Panel 1: As I suggested in an earlier commentary, by inspecting the unconscious Zappatista's now-bared midriff you can see that his previously "ripped"-seeming abs were just a faked element of his costume.

Panel 6 (the first "KLANGG" panel): In a goofy side note, this panel is actually my second attempt at drawing this image. In my first try, I sketched that circular bulge in the metal with the horizontal line between door segments running straight across it—and, hilariously enough, the final result looked eerily like a Muppet mouth. (No, really.)

UPDATE: In fact, if you look closely at the final panel on the page, the original "Muppet mouth" take on the door's bulging metal is partially visible behind the second KLANGG sound FX.
