Panel 3: A solid cliffhanger moment, I think, as we kick off the penultimate action scene of Empowered vol. 9.

As the home stretch approaches, I'm mulling over a lengthy commentary thread that would discuss how the experience of cranking out both vol. 8 and vol. 9 at relatively breakneck production speed taught me an interesting and sobering insight re: why the hell I do comics. Not sure about that, though, as I'm usually feeling none too reflective and/or philosophical when I'm hammering out these commentaries first thing in the morning during my Sunday workday.

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
