Panel 3: In all fairness to ol' Mateo here, "alpha-male posturing" is one thing, but alpha-male posturing like Benito Mussolini, the real-life Il Duce, is on a whole 'nother level.
Panel 4: I'd quite forgotten that the reader learns the given names of not one, not two, but three of the members of this supervillain team during this scene. (Er, assuming that Ilya is lying about "Dave" being his real name, that is.) Golly!
Next week on the webcomic, stand by for our long-awaited return to Object 524, folks!
Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out
more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12,
I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that
won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what
today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed
Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per
month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design
departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
