Emp's triumphant pose is directly taken from my original version of Empowered vol. 9's cover illo, an ultimately abandoned iteration which did not work out to my satisfaction at all, folks. (Another contributing factor was that the first-draft cover prominently featured a character—a legacy version of the superheroic "S**thouse Rat," whose earlier, deceased predecessor appears in an upcoming one-shot—who wound up cut from the book.)

Next week on the webcomic, Emp enjoys her moment of triumph and takes her leave. Guess the story's over, right? The fact that the volume has another fifty-odd pages left shouldn't be suspicious at all, right? (Hey, maybe I crammed in another boatload of "Empowered Extra" bonus features onto the end of volume, as I did with the outta-print Empowered Deluxe hardcovers.)

Today’s Patreon update: Originally done as a means of scratching out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new. Golly!
