Panels 2-3: Yyyyyeah, the hivemind mecha's drawn-out, panel-by-panel serial dialogue doesn't work terribly well with the limitations of the webcomic. For the record, their complete statement was, "Fools! You'll pay for this!" (Alas, I didn't have the panel count to add the properly cliched adverb, which should've left the statement as, "Fools! You'll pay dearly for this!")

Panel 3: As we'll see in a future volume, Young Emp really was "totes inspired" by Capitan Rivet's memoir, which indirectly led to a key long-term plot twist of sorts. (No SPOILERS please, print-comic readers.)

Today’s Patreon update: In an attempt to scratch out more worktime to complete the long-gestating Empowered vol. 12, I've switched over to a Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday Patreon posting schedule that won't feature the fixed content format I previously used. So, who knows what today's post might feature? Could be Life Drawing or Distressed Damsels content (both of which are featured at least three times per month), or something in the Work Stages, Vintage Con Sketches or Design departments, or possibly something entirely new.
