We continue serialization of Empowered vol. 12, which proved to be the final volume of the series in this specific graphic-novel format, though I was unaware of that unfortunate reality when I started work on the book.

Panel 1: Odd but amusing cameo from ill-fated virtual news host "Chet" from the 1995 miniseries Dirty Pair: Fatal But Not Serious; as DP readers might remember, his sole, endlessly repeated line of dialogue was "That's right, Nina!" Note that his name derived from 70s news host Chet Curtis, whose appearances on Channel 5 News outta Boston were quite familiar from my childhood.
