Panel 2: And lo, behold as Sexy Librarian Emp speaks—okay, whispers—the title of the story! Actually, this process went the other way around, as most Empowered stories get their titles from a line of dialogue that strikes my fancy after I’m finished with the episode. 

Also, gotta say that I love the expression on this particular shot of sour-looking Librarian Emp. Well done, 2007-ish Me!

Panel 4: And thus does another episode of distressing damselhood strike our long-suffering heroine! Pretty sure that the following sequence constituted a commissioned “story,” though I vaguely recall that the, uh, “commissioner” might not have been thrilled with the “harsh B&W” art approach. Oh, well.
