UPDATE: I should hasten to add that Empowered vol.10, the newest installment in the series, debuted in North American comic stores this week! (Doesn't come out from Amazon and conventional bookstores until the week after next, alas.)

Costumed crimefighter Empowered, delighted by her long-delayed promotion to full-time membership in the SuperHomeys, enjoys a suprasocial media "victory lap." But will her newfound satisfaction survive the challenges of obnoxious "white knights," disturbing cryoprison visits, alarming alien medical scans and—worst of all—the revelation of a lover's dark secret?

Panel 3: A peculiar screw-up on this panel, as I absolutely should’ve featured Emp facing to the right, as she was in panel 1, not the left, as seen here. Best to to stick with the same “facing orientations” whenever possible, to help maintain consistency of reading experience. Not the end of the world, of course, but still a small detail best handled differently than I did here.  Possible that this might have happened because of how I keep all the other panels on the page masked off (to prevent graphite smudging) when I’m drawing, which can cause consistency or continuity issues. If I’m aware ahead of time that this might be a problem, I often mask off the rest of the page with tracing paper, so I can see what’s doin’ with previously drawn panels.
